Vergewe my, geen AmigaGuide dokumentasie nie :-((
mSQL-20.b3 -- installation guide.
Introduction
------------
This is a SQL Server for Amiga. Well not truley but its the closest you will get.
Requirements
------------
* Amiga running AmigaOS
* ixemul.library v46+
* At least 1 meg for installation
* DosWedge (not sure), it makes Amiga think it can work with Un*x dirs.
* TCP/IP Stack, I used Miami 2.92d. It should work with AmiTCP too.
Installation
------------
1. Unarchive the archive to whereever you want to. It will create a sub dir called mSQL.
2. Add the following line to your user-startup:
Assign mSQL: <your-destination>
path mSQL:bin ADD
3. Change mSQL.conf to suit your taste, you may find that the user mSQL may
not be found create it or change it to root uer
Notes
-----
mSQl-2.0b3 was compiled by on a A1200-030-16Mb, 24x Create Labs CD-ROM, Geek Gadgets 2.
Source code on request available. Sources are on various ftp sites but main site
is http://www.huges.com.au
How to recompile
---------------
I used a straight forward way, as I am totally clueless about Un*x. really.
Honest. You need the sources, ofcoz.
1. I started the ADE from Geek gadgest CD.
2. started the "ksh" shell.
3. Next do this too:
alias yacc='bison -Y'
alias cc='gcc'
4. I read the INSTALL file and did exactly that.
5. One-half hour later I have a setup!
Please, do note I considered it luck to compile this. I have removed the
time limit on the daemon. As a new version hasnt been released yet so
youcan use this release until doomsday.
